Merrill Distributing is looking for a creative, results oriented individual to add to our Marketing team. This individual will be responsible for the creation, implementation, maintenance and execution of marketing programs, materials and ideas. This will include building relationships with our sales teams, vendors and customer partners along with work on our Webpage and Social Media sites.

Job Responsibilities:

· Build and execute marketing strategies and programs to include working with our vendor partners to plan and promote relevant products in both our Convenience Store and Food Service divisions

· Compose and prepare correspondence, reports, and documents using Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc

· Assist in preparation of food shows and sales meetings.

· Prepare and distribute Point-of-Sales (POS) material and flyers

· Create and maintain promotional tracking spreadsheets

· Support other areas of the company as business needs dictate

· Create and maintain promotions via our Website and Facebook pages

· Create marketing calendars and promotional schedules

· Identify marketing opportunities to include new items, product placement, advertising etc.

· Collaborate with other departments on marketing and growth strategies

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Experience in any of the following: retail or foodservice, marketing, web or social media background, menu design, advertising etc.

· Experience in Word, Publisher, Excel, Graphic, Design, PowerPoint or similar applications

· Organized and detail oriented

· Proven ability to work collaboratively with others.

· Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)

· Eagerness to learn and grow in the convenience and foodservice industry

· Ability to create and develop marketing materials

· Understanding of promotional and sales and business needs

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Ability to work on multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

· Working independently and as a member of a cross-functional team

· Willingness to learn and be mentored,

· Desire to improve on existing processes

· Self-directed and highly effective at delivering results

Education

· High School education required.

· Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience level preferred.
